To conclude the day , there was a presentation on “ Overcoming Challenges and Obstacles in the Radiation Protection Industry ”, which covered a mixture of topics from “ Balancing Trust ” and “ Work Enablers or Work Blockers ?” to a journey of “ Nuclear to Non-nuclear to Regulator ”. This session allowed the audience to compare challenges across a range of industries whilst fundamentally coming back to the soft skills that support the technical work that we do .

New ! Exclusive Rising Generations Group Site Visits
August 2023 Sellafield Ltd ( see photo below ) The visit included the newer Thermal Oxide Reprocessing Plant ( THORP ) which ceased reprocessing in 2018 , and the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond ( FGMSP ); a legacy facility on the site currently undergoing retrievals . The visit also featured a tour around the Separation Area and an overview of the whole site .
January 2024 AWE ( see photo above ) The visit included the cutting-edge ORION laser facility , which ensures the safety and performance of nuclear warheads using advanced plasma physics , and a tour of the Aldermaston site .
